DIRECT DIALING
It is possible to configure these directory web-pages so that phone numbers can be dialled directly.
As this Direct Dialling is done via your computer, which is itself utilising a phone line, it will be evident that this option is only practical for those with Broadband connection where computer access and a phone line are both available.
If you have Broadband and wish to install this facility, then please click here. After unzipping, run SETUP.EXE.
Once Dial Pro is installed, the following items should be selected on the Options page:
Under General - tick ‘Accept dialing requests from other applications’
Under General Preferences ensure that ‘Load at Windows Start Up’ is ticked.
Under Expert - tick ‘Ignore Dialing Properties’; this ensures that East Linton numbers which include 01620- can be selected satisfactorily.
These choices will be retained and the dialing program will be launched automatically on subsequent use.
To use the dialing facility, with your mouse highlight any phone number, on any page or advertisement, then Right Click with your mouse and then select COPY from the drop-down menu presented. This will start automatic dialling of the highlighted number.
Six digit numbers can only be dialled from Dunbar locations.
Please note that this dialing program is Shareware. If you wish to continue using it, you should register as requested on screen.
